Why Should I Attend The Monthly Meetings?
You do not have to attend the meetings, but many members do! This is a great way for you to meet new and prospective members, catch up with old members, and get the latest news in what’s happening with our club! This is also a time where you can sign up to host a playgroup on the calendar, sign up to be on one of the many committees we have, volunteer for hospitality for future meetings, and find out more about how the club operates. Hospitality for meetings includes Kids Korner, clean up, drinks, snacks, and greeters. Kids Korner is a place where you can drop your children off while you attend the meeting. It is supervised by four of our own members, so you can be sure your children are in good hands. There are two greeters at every meeting to sign everyone in and be a first impression for new or prospective members. One member brings drinks, two members bring snacks, and two members help restore our meeting room to the condition in which it was found. The meetings are held every second Thursday of the month. Doors open at 9:30am, the meeting begins at 10am and we have a social hour starting at 11am. If you are a prospective member, you are allowed to attend two meetings before joining. Please email the Membership VP so she can expect you there and to arrange a member to sit with you and answer your questions. |
