Activities

MOMS Club has many different types of activities.  Members often hold playdates in their homes, backyards, or at local parks.  The club also schedules seasonal outdoor activities, such as pumpkin patch visits and picnics, and special group events at places like the local bakery or the fire station.  We often get group rates on tickets to children’s shows, festivals, and area attractions.  With MOMS Club, you and your children will go places and do things you might never have thought of otherwise!

Though most club activities are child-oriented, we do have family events and special “mom” activities as well.  We offer personal interest and hobby clubs, and a monthly “Moms Morning Out”.  One evening a month is “Moms Night Out” where members get together at someone’s home, at a restaurant, or to do a special activity.  We also have several family potlucks, picnics, and holiday parties throughout the year.

Attendance at MOMS club events is optional — do as much or as little as you like.  Each activity has an RSVP person that you will contact if you will be joining them.  You do not have to host any events, though at some point many members have ideas they’d like to try.

For moms looking to give back, MOMS Club has a “Moms On the Mend” committee for post-partum or ill members needing help with meals, shopping, and childcare.  Members can also help coordinate community service projects and club events like the Easter Egg Hunt.

Children

Children from newborn through school-age are welcome at all MOMS Club events.  Some activities may be geared towards children of a particular age (such as crafts), but unless a playdate specifies a certain age range (like “Under 2”), all are welcome and encouraged to attend.  Regardless of whether or not children participate in the planned activity, both moms and children will enjoy the outing and companionship.

Breastfeeding is welcome and supported for those who choose to do so.

You are responsible for your child’s safety and actions; children displaying aggressive behavior (hitting, kicking, etc.) will be asked to leave the event.
